A very special moment for Joseph’s Goal, seeing Joe’s Hand on the UCL Donor Wall

Joe's hand featured on the NKH Donor wall at UCL

There are some moments that stay with you forever. Seeing photos of Joe’s hand in place on the donor wall at UCL was one of them.

Although the family has not yet attended the ceremony in person, it meant so much to finally see Joe’s hand sculpture on the wall itself after first being invited to take part in the project.

It was a proud and emotional moment.

More than anything, it showed just how special this recognition is.

A lasting tribute at UCL

The donor wall at UCL stands as a lasting tribute to some of the university’s most significant supporters.

For Joseph’s Goal, seeing Joe represented in this way felt incredibly moving.

It also brought home how far the charity has come.

The family already shared a special moment when Sarah and Cameron visited their home to take a cast of Joe’s hand.

Now, seeing the finished piece in place at UCL has made the tribute feel even more real.

Looking ahead to the visit

Although the family has not yet been to see the donor wall in person, that visit will happen soon.

They will be organising the ceremony visit in the near future and then travelling down to London together by train to see Joe’s hand on the wall properly for the first time.

That will be a very special moment for the whole family.

Joe’s legacy continues to grow

For Emma, Paul and the family, this is about Joe, his legacy and the mark he continues to leave on the world around him.

From Wigan to UCL, Joseph’s story continues to reach people in powerful ways.

For now, the family is proud to see Joe’s hand on the wall in photos, and they look forward to seeing it in person very soon.
