Joseph’s Goal Brings NKH Families Together for Global Research Update

Joseph's Goal Medical Research NKH

On 23 March, Joseph’s Goal hosted an online research update conference for families whose children live with Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH), including Joe.

In total, 15 families joined the call from around the world. Together, they listened to the latest update from Professor Nick Greene and connected with others on a similar journey.

Hearing the Latest Research Progress

Professor Nick Greene leads the research that JG supports through its fundraising.

He is Professor of Developmental Neurobiology and Deputy Director of Research at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health at University College London.

For families living with NKH, these updates matter.

They help families understand the progress being made. They also offer hope and reassurance.

The Impact of Joseph’s Goal Fundraising

Importantly, Nick often highlights the difference Joseph’s Goal has made to this work.

In previous updates, he has said that Joseph’s Goal has helped accelerate NKH research by 18 months to two years.

That progress has only happened because of the funds raised through the charity.

As a result, families can see the real impact of every fundraiser, every event and every donation.

Thank You to Everyone Who Makes this Possible

Of course, none of this happens without support.

So, we want to say a huge thank you to our JG lottery members, fundraisers, walkers, supporters, organisers and donors.

Your support continues to drive vital research forward. Just as importantly, it gives hope to families affected by NKH.

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, commitment and community that surrounds Joseph’s Goal.
